Real time parcel tracking with smart video analytics for DPD Lithuania

For DPD Lithuania, we have installed a parcel tracking platform with smart video analytics from Milestone. From now on, DPD can track the parcel’s journey in real-time, from the moment it is loaded to its arrival at the logistics center.  

We adapted the solution to the needs of the Lithuanian company

DPD Group uses this solution in various countries, and we have adapted it to the needs of DPD Lithuania. We installed Milestone XProtect Expert software with the XProtect Transact plug-in, which we integrated with their information system. The plug-in is designed for logistics and transportation, and Milestone’s smart analytics works with cameras of various generations and manufacturers, so the customer can make rational use of available resources.

Benefits for the customers and the company

After implementing the solution, the customer can see the journey of the parcel, even its condition, monitor that the parcel is not lost, and if this happens – see at which point. It is possible to avoid the loss of parcels, to find out the places and causes of damaged parcels. This raises the quality of DPD Lithuania’s work within the company and ensures good relationships with customers.
