Interactive Shelf Labels at Stockmann Department Store

Category

Retail

Stockmann Tallinn food department was the first in Estonia to start using innovative Vivid Tech interactive shelf labels, which have the capacity to display not only the price but also product description, composition and enable next-level analysis of customer behavior thanks to their intelligent sensors.

Much more than just price labels

The 4-inch (approx. 10 cm) Vivid Tech interactive shelf labels offer an attractive way of catching customers’ attention and directing it to specific products in the store. These labels allow the display of price, description, stock, related products, and more. It is also possible to add a language selection and display the price in different currencies, which is of practical value in shopping places with more tourists.

Data is key for the merchant

The labels are equipped with intelligent sensors that can be used to collect information about customers’ behavior: how many people passed the labels, how many of them stopped, how long the products were viewed, which pages were viewed on the screen, and so on. This level of data adds an extra layer of analytics that combined with the sales numbers can yield next-level insights.

Fast return on investment

Interactive shelf labels create many possibilities. On the one hand, a merchant can have full control over the use of all the functions to increase the efficiency of marketing activities. On the other hand, labels can be rented out as additional advertising space. This is a good opportunity for suppliers to get extra attention to their products and thus increase sales. Labels can be applied to individual products (alternating to test effectiveness) or an entire system can be developed as needed.
